It’s that time of year again, NYFW! I’m packing my bags and heading off to NYC tomorrow. But, before I leave, I wanted to share some of my NYFW essentials.
Packing for NYFW can be intimidating, especially if it’s your first time attending. What outfits should you wear? Shoes, outfits, accessories ..all depend on your personal style. But, I can break down a few packing essentials & some of these I totally wish I would have packed last year!
1. Portable Phone Charger
Having a portable phone charger at NYFW is a game changer for me! If you’re constantly using Snapchat, Instagram and texting your friends to meet up – your phone is sure to hit low battery by the middle of the day. I will definitely be packing a portable phone charger or two!
2. Comfortable Nude Shoe
When running all over NYC from show to show it is so important to have a good pair of shoes that won’t kill your feet. If you’re like me and tend to overpack outfits, a good nude shoe can go with anything, no matter what you decide to wear!
3. Snacks
When you have back-to-back shows and appointments it can be hard to find time to eat during NYFW. Last year I remember opting for a street vendor hot dog .. I clearly was starving! This year, I’m making sure to throw a few healthy granola bars in my bag.
4. A Roomy Handbag
You don’t have to go overboard with a huge bag, but it’s important to have one that’s big enough to carry all the knicks and knacks – like a portable phone charge and touch-up makeup.
5. A Good Jacket for Layering
Since NYFW is at the beginning of September, it will most likely be hot. But, it’s always good to have a jacket for early morning shows and for late night roof top parties that may get a little chilly. Plus draping a cute jacket or bomber can sometimes make an outfit.
