NYFW 2018 Recap & Outfit-Roundup

NYFW 2018 Recap & Outfit-Roundup

As you know, this past week I attended NYFW.  New York Fashion Week is one of my favorite times of the year that I always look forward to.  This was my third year in a row attending and experiencing the city with my best blogger gf’s. We all live in different cities and don’t get to see each other often. I talk with them daily and always look forward to reuniting every year in NYC!

What I Wore:

Shows & Events I Attended

I love the fast paced vibe of NYC and always feel a since of accomplishment mixed with total exaustion after attending fashion week.  This year, I had a pretty packed schedule full of shows, meetings, shoots, events and parties.  I tried to pack in as much as possible in the four days I was there. Below I broke down some of my favorite shows and events I attended.

Affair

Affair debuted a collection with a contemporary classic ascetic with unconventional and modern silhouettes. I love how flattering this brand is and how they create such feminine, innovative pieces and of course their signature sequins.

Fashion Palette

The show consisted of 11 amazing Australian designers.  They debuted collections for next spring that’s all about tailoring, bold tone, floral prints and sequins dominating the runway.

Nonie

The Nonie collection consisted of an abundance of silk and draping in black, ivory, red and yellow –  all inspired by Kharey’s Indian heritage. Tops, jackets, and even the trench silhouette worn by Meghan Markle made an appearance in the show.

After Parties

I’m not going to lie, the parties every night at NYFW are one of my absolute favorite parts.  If you watched my Insta Story while I was there you’re not shocked. 😉 Most night events are a more relaxed & fun networking atmospheres – plus you never know who you may run into.  The first night I attended the OK Magazine party and lets just say this reality star watching fanatic was trying not to fan girl.  I basically ran into every Real Housewife of NYC & Dallas, the entire cast of Summer House & many more.  Other highlights were the LuLu’s event which was full of bloggers & Instagram worthy backdrops.

I also finally attend the Reward Style (liketoknow.it) party for the first time at NYFW.  I couldn’t make it last year due to a friends wedding & left NYC early.  It was so fun running into influencers I’ve followed for years but never met in person.  I ended up hanging out with a ton of bloggers I really admire and we ended up doing a 20 person blogger dinner at the end of the night!  SO fun!

Another unforgetable NYFW in the books!  What’s your favorite part of NYFW?  I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below.  Thanks so much for stopping by! xx
