Girls Night With On The Border

I was recently approached to team up with On The Border and jumped at the opportunity! Any chance to eat Mexican food and I’m in!

On a typical weekend for me, Mexican food is usually involved.  I love trying different spots around Atlanta but On The Border is a childhood favorite that I always love going back to.  I met my friend Caroline there last weekend who helped me capture our experience.

So first things first, we started off with drinks and I couldn’t wait to try their fresh lime skinny margaritas!  It’s made with three delicious ingredients: Partida Blanco Organic tequila, agave nectar, and fresh lime juice.  You can really tell how fresh the lime juice is.  It made me want to transport myself to a tropical island and was definitely giving me all the beach vibes on what was a gross & rainy day!  It’s so refreshing and a definite must to try!

Now for the appetizer!  Everything sounded so amazing on the appetizer menu but we ended up going with the Border queso and chips! Because you can’t go to Tex-Mex without queso, am I right?!  Their queso is prepared in-house with tomatoes, green chiles, onion, cilantro, poblano and just the right kick of jalapeño. It was SO good I had to tell myself to stop eating it all.  Beware, because this stuff is addicting!

For the main course, I knew I wanted fajitas but there were so many options to choose from!  Our waitress recommended the shrimp fajitas, so that’s what I decided to go with! All of their fajitas are grilled over mesquite wood and served with warm flour tortillas, sour cream, pico de gallo, cheese, guacamole, Mexican rice and black beans or refried.

We really enjoyed the casual fun family-friendly colorful atmosphere and delicious fresh menu options. Safe to say that I’ll be going back again soon! If you’re interested in visiting you can easily find your closest location with the On The Border location finder.
