Around this time of year, I’m always on the search for a new foundation. I tend to loose a little bit of color when summer is nearing an end because I’m spending less time in the sun. To avoid the dreaded makeup line, I like to opt for a shade lighter to achieve the perfect match for my skin.
Foundation can be such a personal thing – what works for one person may not work for the other. However, the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation has always been the cornerstone of my makeup routine. It’s the only foundation I’ve used that stays on all day even through the heat and humidity at photo shoots. If I have a long work day, I can apply it in the morning and not even think about reapplying, after 8 hours – which I really like! It’s also full coverage and easy to layer on. It has a semi-matte finish that gives just the right amount of glow while your natural color shines through.
To get the perfect shade, I stopped by the Estee Lauder makeup counter this week during the Belk Beauty Event. They were super helpful in helping me pick my perfect match, which is Dawn 291. I also was drawn to the beautiful darker lip shades, a beauty trend that I love for fall. I picked up Pure Color Envy Lipstick in the color Irresistible. I absolutely love the creamy matte finish!
Just as you would refresh your wardrobe for fall, it’s important to do the same with your makeup. All it takes is a little self-care and refresh of your favorite beauty products to leave you feeling rejuvenated! It’s almost time for me to switch foundations as well. I’m on the hunt for one that doesn’t transfer, along with being full coverage (quite the challenge)! My fiancé goes crazy every time I kiss him because I’m so pale and his filipino skin is so dark! It looks like he kissed a snowman! I’ll have to try this product out.
