New York Fashion Week was such a whirlwind of wonderful experiences. As this was my first time at NYFW, I felt like I was living a dream, and it was so surreal sitting in the front row at runway shows. Today I’m sharing a full recap of what I wore, where I stayed, what I ate and highlights from the runway shows I attended.
One of the first places Stefanie and I ate was Tavern 29, a casual rooftop restaurant bar that was right across from our hotel. We went there because it was convenient but the food turned out to be amazing! I ordered the quinoa veggie burger, which was delicious and Stef and I split the truffle fries – which were to die for. Saturday night we treated ourselves to Tao, which I’ve always wanted to try after I saw it was one of the Kardashian’s favorite spots. It’s pricey, but the sushi was the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was unique and designed to look like a majestic Asian temple.
The MP Fashion show was one of the first shows we attended. It was full of bright and colorful dresses and jackets. One of my favorites was the Katie Gallagher’s Spring/Summer line which was her third all black collection that relies on textures and subtle details, highlighting her obsessions with gothic architecture.
I had no idea where to stay since it was my first time in NYC. But after doing some research, I came across the Gansevoort Hotel. It was a great location, right on Park Avenue and conveniently located across the street from a Starbucks and equipped with a Flywheel studio and Lacoste store attached. I loved the adorable room, but my favorite part was the rooftop bar and pool with a stunning view of the Empire State building.
